High-end, eco-friendly, geothermal home-based business building
As you may know, Riverdale it is one of the greenest, most beautiful and quiet places in Edmonton. It is on the extensive bike trails, close to the Riverside Golf Course, next to the Louise McKinney Riverfront Park with its rose gardens, the Shumka Stage for dance and music, and several other parks.
This area of the city is being gentrified, as every few weeks you can see a new home going up and the buildings are getting ever more beautiful, modern and high-end. Currently, empty lots sell between $350k and $800k. As this finite downtown river valley community continues to develop, availability will become scarce and put even more upward pressure on home prices.
Just up from this valley, many exciting projects are now under construction: the 96th Street Pedestrian Projects with access to the river; The Quarters Downtown development already underway; the Arena and the new Visual Arts Centre are just a few. All are within walking distance.
Some of you may know the story of the eco-friendly, geothermal home that I designed and started to build and that was halted by the city.
The good news is that it currently complies 100% with the city’s planners and a new, valid building permit is being issued.
The property, located right across from my garden, is ideally southwest facing with huge windows and gets full sun from early morning to late evening. From its huge rooftop party deck, it has a million-dollar view of downtown and the river valley.
It is 3,288 square feet and ideal for a home-based business or as a large 6-bedroom home, complete with a “granny” suite.
I am looking for someone who would like to own it or partner with me in its completion. Vendor financing is available.
It is a good investment; either for resale, or as an executive home.
It could also be used as a rental property with a steady income stream.
By assisting in its completion, you will also be supporting geothermal technology and inspiring our next generation…
